The HUFS-HRI EU Centre opened its first HUFS-HRI EU Certificate Course with the Korean National Council of Women’s (KNCW) President, Kim, Jeong Sook). The nine-week programme ran from 4 April to 13 June. The course aims to raise awareness of the EU among civic groups. The certificate course was aimed at 60 leaders of the KNCW, a leading and representative women’s’ association in Korea with comprising ten thousand women’s organizations and eight million members nationwide.
The HUFS-HRI EU Certificate Course with the KNCW for The Global Leadership Academy aimed to encourage its participants to regard the EU as a major global agent, and to contribute to the Korea-EU relationship. This Certificate Course included many subjects to help students better understand the EU, including the history of the EU, family policy of the EU, gender equality policy and non-governmental organization (NGO) policy.
