Before the opening ceremony at the HUFS-HRI EU Centre, the special lecture of H. E. Tomasz Kozlowski, EU ambassador to Korea, was held with the theme ‘KOR-EU Strategic Partnership’ on 15 March, 2011. In the lecture, Ambassador Kozlowski pointed out the importance of ratifying KOR-EU FTA for the mutual strategic cooperative relationship between Korea and the EU.
According to Kozlowski, the KOR-EU FTA is related not only to economic cooperation but also to politics, culture, scientific and educational cooperation. Therefore, the FTA could play a bridging role between the countries for their mutual strategic and cooperative partnership. He also expected the Centre to play an important role in making strong bilateral relationships.
