On the 15th of July, The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence co-hosted the international conference on the “Connecting Europe and Asia: Security, Economy and Legal cooperation” with the faculty of law Universitas Trisakti at Jakarta, Indonesia. Vice Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof.Ir. Asri Nugrahanti commenced the opening ceremony with a welcoming speech and was followed by a speech by the Ambassador of Korea to the ASEAN H.E Kwon Hee-Seong. The presentations were delivered by JMCE Director Kim Si-hong, Professor of Law Byun Hae Cheol from HUFS, Dr. Wasis Susetio from the Faculty of Law of Universitas Esa Unggul, and Dr. Tri Sulistyowati from the Faculty of Law of Universitas Trisakti on “EU-Asia Connectivity, Human Right, Cyber Security, and International Immigration”.





On the 18th of July at 10 a.m., the Roundtable Discussion was held on the theme of “Connection between Europe and Asia: Education Cooperation” in the Seminar room of the Universitas 17 Agustus(UNTAG), Semarang. Professor Lim Young-ho from Cyber HUFS did the keynote speech, and Professor of Law Ahmad Sobari from Universitas Nasional Unas did the designated discussion. The President of Universitas UNTAG Professor, Suparno commenced the welcoming speech. A heated discussion on Education Cooperation, especially about Cyber Education proceeded.



On the 19th of July, JMCE Director Kim Si-hong visited the city hall of Semarang and met Vice Mayor Heavearita Gunaryanti Rahayu to do practical policy consultation.
