Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Jean-Monet EU Centre (Director Kim Sihong) invited Swiss Ambassador to Korea Dagmar Schmidt Tartagli to discuss at room 225 of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies university main builidng at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21.
Although Switzerland is not a member of the European Union (EU), it has joined the Schengen Agreement and the Dublin Regulation and is adopting common policies regarding free movement of population and refugee issues. In addition, it has been attracting attention as an interesting case because it forms a unique multilingual society with German, French, Italian, and Romansh as official languages.
Through this seminar, we were able to review aspects of social integration and immigration and refugee issues in European society, which are increasing recently, and draw implications for Korea, which is entering a multicultural society.
