On 9 May, commemorating ‘Europe Day’, the Centre held a national university student presentation contest on the topic of European integration. This contest, which was held under the name of the First EU Young Challenge, was designed to encourage young Korean leaders to understand European integration. Thirty-five teams (70 participants) from all over the country participated in the contest with various topics on European integration: politics, economy, history, law, society, and culture.

At the final competition on May 7 at HUFS, ten teams (20 students) that had already passed the preliminary contest entered into the competition. Shin Min Kyung and Lee Seul A from the Department of EU Studies of HUFS were awarded the first prize. Every student attending this contest said that this contest helped the participants to understand the EU better.
