Nikolaus Müller-Schöll, Professor of Frankfurt, visited the German department and EU Centre at HUFS and gave a lecture, “Das letzte Lachen” which means ‘the last smile’. In the lecture, Professor Nikolaus Müller-Schöllanalyzes was on the debate about ‘smile/laughter’ in reference to film ‘Life is Beautiful’ by Roberto Benigni in 1997. Also he deals with the film above on the basis of philosophical and literary perspective, and finally examines about human life. After the lecture, many participants were impressed of the lecture and gave some philosophical questions about life and European value of life.
For better understanding of the lecture the film ‘Life is Beautiful’ was screened for participants on 30 October.
